Welcome to our Homeschool/Playroom! I finally had the house to myself so I could film a room tour video (I’ll link that below) without the kids running around. The playroom is one of the things that sold us on this house 5 years ago. It used to be a garage but the previous owners converted it to this amazing room and it is right off the dining room/kitchen. The room is very large and is a perfect playroom for our three boys.

This year we organized and invested in IKEA TROFAST bins. They have been a game changer for this room. I made simple labels using Canva and it just helps keep everyone so organized.
For the labels I searched bright name cards on Canva, I then changed all the graphics and wrote in what each bin contained. For graphics not found in Canva I took a screenshot of the actual product on Amazon and then uploaded that way. I then printed and laminated everything. I used the same labels on everything to keep it all uniform looking.
This cube organizer is from Amazon and so are the pastel canvas totes. They hold our Playdough, puzzles, Kinetic Sand, and card games. I filled in the rest of the cubes with our books. The books need to be better organized right now it’s whatever fits.
Our homeschool supplies lines one wall. I have our curriculum, more books, math manipulatives, and anything else we need for a successful homeschool day.
The boys each have a book bin and their own bin for their curriculum. The last bin is for our group studies. We do history and science together as a family. I’m going to work on separate videos and blog posts for what we use as our curriculum so stay tuned for that.
This shelf is for our writing and coloring supplies. I also keep our math manipulatives here. Our library books go in the bottom basket so they don’t get mixed with our regular books. I also have some fun alphabet and number stamps and a couple games for phonics I made here. It’s kind of a miss match of things but it works for us.
At the end is two towers of more supplies and some storage. I have all of our arts and crafts here. Our sensory bins supplies are also kept here (I used to leave them in a bin and it was a constant mess so I store them now). Lastly, I store the holiday and seasonal books when not in use. The rolling cart holds all our Osmo stuff and headphones.
At the end of the day this is just a really fun and colorful room. We invite learning and play all the time and the boys love it. It’s such an amazing space for them and it can grow with them as needed. I hope you enjoyed this little tour and it inspired your own area and gave some tips for organizing.
I have the bins and storage linked here.
I also have an Amazon Storefront with lots of my homeschool supplies and some curriculum picks here.
